I had already been enthusiastic about strategy issues during my time at university, and so afterwards I opted for working in corporate development at a global retail group. I worked there for almost three years, advising on a massive restructuring project.
My practical experience in strategic project work enabled me to become an Associate at Innovalue at the beginning of 2010. From day one, I was working exclusively on projects in the Insurance practice. Following my promotion to Senior Associate in 2011, I committed myself to the Insurance business by choosing the two year part-time Master’s degree in Business Administration Insurance at the University of Leipzig. I was actively supported by Innovalue throughout the two years, and completed my Master's thesis in mid-2014.
After having continually worked on and in some cases managed exciting and challenging projects, I was promoted to the Manager level in 2013. Since then, my project-leading role has mainly involved digitalization topics, in particular omnichannel strategies and the development of new business models. In 2015, I was promoted to Director. After Innovalue became part of the EY Group in 2016, I was able to work much more internationally, both in terms of projects as well as in terms of market-side and internal networking. In addition, I was given the opportunity to go through the EMEIA-wide EY Partner process. I have successfully completed this process and have been working as a partner for EY and EY Innovalue since mid-2018.
At EY Innovalue, I am provided with exciting tasks, attractive career and further development opportunities, high levels of flexibility and, above all, an informal atmosphere and friendly colleagues. EY Innovalue places strong emphasis on thinking and acting in an entrepreneurial manner, so employees can take on responsibilities early and contribute proactively. EY also adds a much more international context. The promise made to me at the start was that I could quickly build myself a successful career, and it has absolutely been kept. I have gone through all levels from associate to partner and have been encouraged to do so at all times.
